This is Curtis Williamson with Palomar Solar. Last year SDGE put together a bill to institute a fixed rate proposal. That would effectively be an energy tax on individuals based on their income. The higher the income the higher your energy tax. This was in response for a state law AB-205 Chapter 61 which set the president that utilities need to institute income-based billing along with other items needed for Grid stability. Being an election year, I cannot help but think that the people need to talk to there local politicians and voice their opinion. The people need to get out there and make sure their voices are heard in any format possible.

To make maters a little more confusing the abstract on AB205 focuses on improving the oversight and regulation of health care service plans and insurers in California. It aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the health insurance industry by requiring insurers to provide clearer information about their plans, including coverage options and costs. The bill seeks to empower consumers with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding their health care coverage.

Why would a Bill on improving health care also contain text that would affect the price you pay for electricity?

Here is a link to AB-205 Chapter 61. I think everyone should read this and give their opinion to their local representatives. – Bill Text – AB-205 Energy.
