530 megawatts (MW, as millions of watts) of electricity have been added to the United States energy grid in October. All of it came from the sun. That’s nearly 100 MW more than the previous quarter.
Big and small solar projects are popping up across the nation. California leads the way by a large margin. Solar installations for the residential market are nearly at the same level as total installations in Arizona, the second-ranked state in the nation for Q2 2013.
Solar project completions show a growing trend in quarter-over-quarter growth. Residential solar steadily grows every quarter. California’s Solar Initiative helps push that growth. Solar will continue to grow, so it would be valuable to lock in a good ROI in solar today.
